Viant Capital LLC (“Viant”) is pleased to announce that it introduced Industrifonden to a large US institutional investor that acquired Industrifonden’s entire remaining interest in Arcam AB valued at 259.2 million Swedish Krona (approximately US$31.1 million).
Until the exit of Industrifonden’s remaining 10.4% interest in this portfolio company, Industrifonden had been the largest single shareholder in the 3D printing firm Arcam AB, having been involved Arcam since 1999, first as a lender and, since 2002, as a shareholder.
“This is by far one of Industrifonden’s best investments ever,” said Thomas Carlström, Investment Manager at Industrifonden. “For 17 years we played a part in building Arcam with its pioneering technology into the international company it is today. Arcam’s future looks bright, but our role is done. This successful investment now provides us with the capital for new investments.”
Industrifonden is one of Sweden's most experienced and active investors in early-stage tech and life science companies aiming for international growth. Industrifonden manages approximately SEK 4 billion in assets and serves as an active owner together with entrepreneurs and co-investors. (www.industrifonden.com)
